Studio Teaching

Patti is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music at California State University, Los Angeles, and has also held faculty positions teaching violin at Western Connecticut State University, and New York University, and Hunter College. She enjoys teaching students of a variety of ages and levels of musical experience.

Patti maintains a private studio in the Los Angeles area through her business Arts District Music Studio, and also maintains a violin studio for music majors at Cal State LA, where she is the Strings Area Coordinator.

RecordinG

Patti is an active recording artist, with extensive experience recording violin and viola for genres all over the map, including contemporary classical music, pop music, jazz, and music for film and television. She maintains a home studio and can also travel to studios in the Los Angeles area, and also enjoys making arrangements, adapting parts, and contracting other instrumentalists to serve your project’s needs.

She can be heard on over a dozen studio albums dating back to 2011, including Björk’s Vulnicura Live, the Original Motion Picture Score to Cam, and Yoko Ono’s Warzone, as well as the soundtrack to the first season of Lovecraft Country, Menudo: Forever Young, and Paul T. Workshops and Masterclasses

Patti gives in-person and online workshops to student ensembles. In addition to giving traditional masterclasses and ensemble clinics, she also gives workshops on improvisation and can create a personalized creative activity based around your group’s level and repertoire.
